The Penn State Alumni AssociationWhat’s been happening: After PSU I completed an MS-ChE at Notre Dame. Following a brief 7 years in Naval Nuclear Reactor Fluid System at Westinghouse, I entered the paper industry with Union Camp Corp doing process engineering. Ultimately I reached the position of president, Union Camp Technology. After being acquired by International Paper, I continued as a senior process/project engineer on pulp and bleaching fiber-lines until retiring in 2009. I have had a fabulously rewarding engineering career and have worked with wonderful people on fantastic projects. As a bass I sing barbershop with a highly medaled chorus in Cincinnati (Southern Gateway). I also sing in quartets and brigade and am active in chorus youth outreach. I married PSU 68 alumna Virginia Diluiso in 1968, Gidg to her friends. We have five fantastic children, all with degrees, three with PhDs. Our son Greg is also a PSU alumnus. Our children are in varied fields of pharmacy, molecular cell biology, electrical engineering, graphic art design & videography. We have three wonderful grandchildren and hope for more in the future. I am so very thankful for the fundamentally strong education I received at Penn State. I proudly acknowledge the university at every opportunity. PSU has had a marked impact on my life that I will never forget. The thought of times & friends at PSU always cause a swell to my eyes. I wish all well! |
